Question:Where at Glendale Sciences and Technology School do the most decomposers reside?
Answer:Decomposers probably live in many dirty places OUTSIDE the school. It's also possible for decomposers to live INSIDE the school since we humans bring bacteria in the school because we go inside it.....:)
Hypothesis: I will rub my bread on a tree and I'm guessing it will turn a little green at first. And I think the smell will get a lot more worse. And it will start to crumble a bit and it will decompose.
Materials:
A slice of bread sandwich sized Ziploc decomposers collected at a tree
paper towel
Procedure:
We sliced a bread to half.
We used a paper towel and wrap it around the bread. We made sure we didn't touch the bread.
We went outside and we found a tree that has fungi growing on it and we rubbed the bread on it.
After we rubbed the bread, we put it inside the Ziploc bag.
We named the bag with our name on it and where we rubbed it.
After that, we taped our bags with our bread in it on the bookshelf.
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Even if it has bacteria and decomposers on it, it still looks perfectly fine and fine to eat.
It had green and black mold all over the place.
Molds are all over the place. It has green mold on it and yellow mold. It had a fuzzy white mold.
Conclusion: My hypothesis was right. The bread did turn green and the smell was really really bad. It crumbled to bits. It means that decomposers on a tree are very many and way worse than anything.
Geothermal Energy is a type of energy stored in Earth. Geysers and hot springs are a natural example of geothermal heating because they have molten material deep in the Earth. Geothermal fluids contain mercury and arsenic. If they are released to rivers or lakes, they can ruin the aquatic life in that habitat.
A few feet under the ground, the soil or water remain a constant 10 to 15 Celcius year-round. Just that little bit of warmth can be used to heat or cool homes and offices. This is a geyser exploding. This is a hot spring in Banff.
